Kursus Pelancongan (ACT Tourism & Tourism Awareness)

This is definitely one of the BEST course that i have ever participated. It was a two days one night course held in Hotel De Palma, Kuala Selangor on the 20th and 21st February 2008.
It was held in conjunction with "Malaysia Welcomes The World" (MWW) 2008. This event was organised by the Ministry of Tourism (Kementerian Pelancongan Malaysia). It is a 'Malaysia Host' Programme for tourism stakeholders. There were 99 participants from 10 districts in Selangor.

Representatives from Klang district:
1)MGS
2)HSK
3)SMK Pandamaran Jaya

Representatives from MGS Klang:
1)Ajeerah
2)Afiqah
3)Manwinder
4)me

Objectives:
~increase awareness on the importance of tourism in Malaysia
~assist front-liners to acquire important knowledge and skills that can lift service deliveries to world class standard
~instill a sense of pride in a service provider role and
~help portray our beloved country as a friendly nation with friendly people

20th February 2008:
talks and lectures on Malaysia's hospitality values, the Malaysia host personality, visit to Bukit Malawati and Kampung Kuantan Fireflies Village. The best thing is, they are all paid by the organiser and i don't have to spend a single cent..

21st February 2008
talks and lectures on communications and role plays. I played a tour guide.I think I did a good job.Closing ceremony was held and we were presented with beautiful certs.I was quite reluctant to bid farewell to Kuala Selangor as it was an awesome place. Breath taking sceneries and fresh air.. Wow.. great escape for the city folks..

That's all I've got to share. Participating in school activities are amazing. So, the next time, remember to grab the golden opportunity... Don't miss out....
